Luna clung to her, slowly calming down. "I'm scared...I'm only sixteen...why do people hate us?" She cried and whimpered "It shouldn't matter if I'm different or not..."

Halia nods, and the hunter steps out of the smoke. He notices Halia's knives and spits at her. She doesn't react, still protectively hugging Luna. "What a disgrace. Another weak hunter...Guess I'll have to kill you both." Halia slowly slips one of her knives out of its sheath. She waits until the man is close before stabbing him in the stomach. He backs up, clutching the wound before falling backward, groaning in pain.

Luna was still crying, shaking in fear "The-H-Hunters killed M-Mommy and Daddy when I was f-four...I d-don't like h-hunters..." She cried herself to sleep

Halia ignores the dying hunter, slumping on top of her and giving her a weak hug before falling asleep.

Luna slept soundly, clinging to Halia. She awoke a few hours later, whimpering
